Know Your Skin Type!

As long as you don’t know your skin type, it doesn’t matter how effective or expensive products you use. For example, imagine applying a serum on sensitive skin designed for oily skin! Bad, right? No, too bad to be honest; such mistakes can damage your skin in more ways than you can imagine. So first things first, to achieve the goal of that perfect glass skin, you need to know your skin type and guess what? You can easily do this at home.

Wash your face with a gentle cleanser and allow it to dry for 30 minutes (and during this, make sure not to apply anything to your skin). Now, after 30 minutes, how does your skin look? And more importantly, how does it feel?

â—Ź If your skin is dry and feels flaky, you definitely have dry skin.

â—Ź Oily skin would appear to be very shiny.

â—Ź However, if some areas of your skin are shiny yet others remain dry, you could have combination skin.

â—Ź You most likely have normal skin if your skin feels completely soft yet adequately hydrated.

● Sensitive skin usually feels as if it’s not just dry but itchy and, at times, has a burning sensation in certain areas.

So now, when you know your skin type, it’s time to get the right products for your skin. However, always remember that any skin type can be sensitive to specific products and can experience acne. Still, it can be managed and taken care of properly with the right products.
